Quaker Quintolubric 822 Series Hydraulic Fluids Dion & Sons has added Quaker Chemical´s QUINTOLUBRIC 822 Series Fire Resistant, Biodegradable Hydraulic Oils to our product line! The QUINTOLUBRIC 822 Series are fire resistant hydraulic fluids approved by Factory Mutual Research. Quintolubric 822 can be handled without operator discomfort and, when burned, will not generate toxic or noxious smoke. The QUINTOLUBRIC 822 Series hydraulic fluids exhibit an additional physical property that is becoming a very important concern in today´s society: Environmental Acceptability. QUINTOLUBRIC 822-300 has a unique chemical structure that is readily amendable to biological degradation. When tested for biodegradability according to CEC Method LL-33-T-82 degradation rates at 7 days and 21 days were 60.5 and 94.5% respectively. With regard to aquatic toxicity, Quaker Chemical Corporation contracted independent testing of QUINTOLUBRIC 822-300 with the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia (ANSP) according to the procedures the Academy judged relevant. The test procedures selected followed OECD 203, Fish Acute Toxicity Test. The test involves exposing rainbow trout specimens to increasingly higher levels of fluid contamination and determining that concentration in which 50% of the specimens will survive for the full test period of 96 hours. There are obviously many other considerations in selecting a hydraulic fluid for use in fire resistant areas and/or environmentally sensitive areas. But, based on either biodegradability or aquatic toxicity, QUINTOLUBRIC 822 Series hydraulic fluids will satisfy your requirements.
